Bob J. "Buttermilk" Grable, 89, of Petersburg, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana.

Bob was born in Petersburg on December 4, 1931 to Victor and Audie (Dawson) Grable.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, and upon returning to Petersburg spent his life working as a mechanic.  His wife Winifred (Cockerham) Grable preceded him in death in 2012.  He is also preceded in death by his parents and a brother Byron.

He is survived by sons Joe (Cindy) Grable of Petersburg, IN and Mike (Susan) Cockerham of Florida; grandchildren Melissa (Jay) Knepp, Joshua (Megan) Grable, and Cody Cockerham; and great-granchildren Katie, Lance, and Luke Knepp, Alayna Grable, and one more on the way.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg with Pastor Ron Ficklin officiating.
