Betty Louise Wesner, 96, of Odon, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Arbor House Assisted Living in Marble Falls, Texas. She was born in Odon on March 20, 1930, to Ralph Waldo Seneff and Alma (Cavness) Seneff. Betty graduated from Odon High School and attended nursing school at Purdue University. While visiting Odon, she stopped for a soda and met the love of her life Charles (Jack) Wesner, who was a decorated veteran that served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. Betty and Jack married in Odon, Indiana on September 30, 1950. They went on to have three children: John, Connie, and Melinda and were blessed to share 66 anniversaries together.
Betty spent almost 30 years as an accomplished realtor and real estate broker with New Jersey’s Weichert Realtors. Her career began in 1976 and over the next three decades she worked to the top of her field with three separate firms and was part of the “Million Dollar Club” catering to relocating exclusive clientele. Betty was an avid card player, ballroom dancer and member of her local international cooking club. In her retirement in Hilton Head, SC, she enjoyed golfing with Jack, flower arrangement, and traveling. She was a devout Christian and active member in the United Methodist Church. She volunteered often with the United Methodist Women and in teaching Sunday school. Betty will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her grace, and her love and her devotion to her family. Her quick wit, laughter, and wisdom were gifts to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her son John Wesner and his wife Mary Wesner of Odon, Indiana; daughter Dr. Connie Lavoie and her husband Norman Lavoie, of Marble Falls, Texas; and Judge Melinda Wesner Kirkpatrick and her husband Crawford Kirkpatrick, of Blanco, Texas. She was also an exceptional grandmother to Joshua Wesner, Anna Wesner, Emma Wesner, Sean Lavoie, Katherine Kirkpatrick, Walker Kirkpatrick, Sarah Kirkpatrick, and Cody Kirkpatrick; great-grandmother to Rigo Wesner, Armondo Wesner and Alyssia Wesner.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Ralph & Alma Seneff, her sister Sondra Harris and her husband Charles Wesner.
