Betty Jane Smith, 91, passed away on July 17, 2018 in Jasper,IN. She was born on October 12, 1926 to Ellet and Nannie Dilley in Pike County, IN. She was a member of Winslow Christian Church and Eastern Star #391. She is survived by her daughters, Nila (Maurice) Howard-Columbus, IN, Linda (Michael) O'Connell-Bloomington, IN, and Sylvia Smith-Jasper, IN; grandchildren, Matthew Howard, Andrew Howard, Kelly Chisham, Andrea Bunnett, Leslie Sturm, Lisa Werner, Joseph Kress, Sean O'Connell, and Krystle Smith; 16 great grandchildren; brother,  Paul Dilley; and sister, Mary Engelman- Kokomo, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert 'Red' Smith; daughter, Brenda Kress; her parents; brothers, Victor & Don Dilley, sisters, Ellone Bartlow, Irma Lowe, & Frances Minnis.

Services for Betty will take place 3 PM on Saturday August 4 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Winslow, IN. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Winslow Christian Church or donation of your choice in memory of Betty. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
