Barbara Lynn Pancake peacefully went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, and her loved ones who passed before her on February 7, 2025 at the Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. Barbara was a loving, devoted and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Barbara was born on November 19, 1946, to Richard Eugene Jones and Ruby Marie (Glassford) Jones in Winslow, Indiana.

Barbara married Donald Ray Pancake on October 4th, 1964 and resided her whole life in Pike County. Together Barbara and Donald had two sons, Donald L. Pancake and Frank E. Pancake.

Barbara attended Winslow High School and had a passion for Square dancing, helping with her sons' school activities, ceramics, painting, sewing, crocheting, cooking and taking care of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping and vacationing, listening to country music, watching soap operas, and creating beautiful crafts.

Barbara is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Donald R. Pancake. Her sons and their wives Donald L. (Judy) Pancake and Frank E. (Pam) Pancake. Ten grandchildren: Jacob(Meredith)Pancake, Logan (Ellen)Pancake, Alexandrea (Will) McCormick, Draven(Haley Biggs)Pancake, Maverick Pancake, Cody(Mackenzie) Jines, Skylar Willis, Noah Willis, Jacob (Joy) Smith, Melissa (Anthony) Roberts.  Twelve great-grandchildren: Gavin, Elysia, Layne, and Lily Pancake, Carter and Austyn Jines, Kaylee (Jordan) Watson, Tyler (Nicole) and Cassandra Kitterman. Hadley, Harper, and Finn Roberts. One great-great grandchild Royse Watson. One brother James Jones, 3 sisters Beverly Robling, Oni (Larry) Loh and Paula (Marc) Anderson, and many Nieces, Nephews and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her Parents Richard (Gene) and Ruby Jones, Her Brother Charles (Ritchie) Jones, her grandson and daughter-in-law Cody and Shona Pancake, and her Nephew Jamie Jones and niece Jayme (Jones) Gibbs, and many other loved ones gone too soon. Barbara will be greatly missed and forever loved and remembered by all who knew and loved her.

We would like to thank: Dr. Demello and the staff at Davita Dialysis in Jasper, The staff at Jasper Memorial Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, the staff at St. Charles Healthcare in Jasper, Pike County EMS, the nurses, patient care techs and doctors at Deaconess Gateway and Heart Hospital Cardiac ICU, the staff and nurses at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, and Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg. Thank you all for taking great care of Barbara .

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm EST on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana, with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Gary Pancake officiating.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:00-8:00pm on Monday and 10:00am until service time on Tuesday.
