William "Bill" Max Brothers, 63, of Petersburg was called home after his four year battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at his home with family by his side.
He was born July 11, 1955 in Washington, Indiana to Wilbur and Patricia (Sullivan) Brothers.
Bill was a valuable and devoted Lead Pipeline Operator at Midwestern Gas and Transmission (oneOk) for 43 years. He truly loved his work. In his free time, he could always be found outside whether on the mower, in the pool, or in the garden. He was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene in Petersburg.
Bill is survived by his children, Derek Brothers, of Vincennes; Gavin (Maria) Brothers, of Evansville; Erica Kueber, of Petersburg; siblings Tammy (Terry) Queen; Rick (Lisa) Brothers; Terry (Debbie) Brothers; Keith (Cheri) English; grandchildren Cassidy Brothers; Chayton Brothers; Kaleb Kueber; Keegan Kueber; Hunter Kueber; Kenna Brothers; nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister Lela Traylor.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. EST on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2p.m. EST Sunday December 16, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
