Sylvan "Chib" Janis Bartlett

Sylvan Janis "Chib" Bartlett entered his eternal resting home on September 6, 2019 at the age of 90.He was an Independence Day baby born on July 4, 1929 in Pike County, Indiana.

Josie Ellen (Hamm) Bartlett, the love of his life, preceded him in death on December 9, 1992. Surviving are his two daughters, Nyla Jan (Wrex) Simmons and Rose Ann (Greg) Clark. Two granddaughters, Darla Jo (Anthony) Bush, Melissa Nicole Simmons and one grandson, Bradley Wayne Simmons. Also surviving are 6 great-grandchildren that kept his eyes fluttering!

Many who knew Chib would find him in the wood pile splitting wood, chomping on his Redman, or possibly dancing with the Dixie Band at French Lick for his birthday. He loved spending time with his family and friends and getting in trouble! He never knew a stranger and you may just find him in the kitchen at any restaurant.

Services will be held at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm with burial immediately following at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Campbelltown, Indiana.
