Mary Lou (Davis) Sturgeon

Mary Lou Sturgeon, 83, of Petersburg passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at her residence. Mary was born November 24, 1934. She was married to Shirley Sturgeon and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter Cathy (Jerry) Miller of Bedford, IN, and two sons, Mike (Sheila) Sturgeon of Winslow, and Mark Sturgeon of Petersburg.
Mary has seven grandchildren, Yavonne (Barry) Dorsey of Venice, FL, Tabby (Ben) Brownell of Greencastle, IN, Justin (Jonni) Miller of Lafayette, IN, Jason (Laura) Sturgeon, of Eagleville, TN, Jenni (Adam) Sederlund of Sumter, SC, Jordan Sturgeon of Winslow, IN, and Matt (Katie) Miller of Indianapolis, IN as well as seventeen great grandchildren.
Also surviving are sisters Norma Willis and  Anna Nicholson of Petersburg, Judy Dyson of Hamilton, OH, Karen Hudson of Newberry, IN, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary attended Brenton Chapel Church of Christ.  She was a retired school teacher, farmer, and devoted mother and grandparent.
Services will be held 3 PM on Tuesday, January 9, at Harris Funeral Home with visitation from 12 noon until service. Burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
