Mary E (Fowler) Kortea

Mary E. Kortea, 94, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Willow Manor in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born February 10,1925 to Riley "Shack" & Emma (Harbison) Fowler in Petersburg, Indiana. Mary married Donald Rex Kortea on February 10, 1925. She was a member of the River of Life Church in Petersburg, Indiana.

Mary is survived by: sons Donald Robert & Kenneth Dewayne Kortea; sisters Pansy L. Smith, Imogen Boker, Norma J. Stafford, Diana Sue Jones; sister in law Janet Fowler; foster children Amy Schmit and Tamara West; six grandchildren; several great & great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Ronald Theodore Kortea.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 7, 2019 at 2:00pm at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana. Rev. Jim Gidcomb will officiate the services. Burial will immediately follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. Visitation will be on Friday from noon until time of services.
