Mark Edward Charles

Mark Edward Charles, 65, of Petersburg passed away on June 16, 2019 at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg. He was born on January 1, 1954 in Washington, IN to Alvin and Cloetta Charles. Mark worked as a machinist and retired from Hanson Manufacturing. He enjoyed playing his musical instruments and singing for the glory of the Lord. His jokes and many laughs we shared will surely be missed by all.

Mark is survived by his wife, Donna Charles of Petersburg; daughters, Dana (Jerry) Blackwell of Winslow and Leah (Christopher) Blair of Indianapolis; his mother, Cloetta Sipes; grandchildren, Carter and Kinley Blackwell; brother, Rob (Debbie) Charles; sisters, Vicki (Rick) Shoultz, Lynne (Mark) Hamm, and Jan (Steve) Fagg; and many nieces and nephews.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Charles.

Services will take place at 11 AM EST on Friday, June 21, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN. Visitation will take place from 4-8 PM EST on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Pastor Dennis Patton will officiate and burial will follow the service at Knights Chapel Cemetery. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
