Mae Carolyn Boger (McMullen) gained her Angel wings on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Golden Living Center in Petersburg.
Mae Carolyn Boger was born to David M. and Hallie Mae (Miller) Thomas on April 27, 1929 in Island, Kentucky. Carolyn grew up in North Western Kentucky and lived a few years of her childhood in Illinois, before the family settled in Algiers, Indiana where she graduated from Petersburg High School in 1947.
Carolyn married the love of her life, Roddy Boger, in August 1947 and they had two daughters, Shawna and Marta. Carolyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a home maker, retired real estate abstractor, and former Deputy Assessor of Pike County. Carolyn loved to travel, dance, visit with friends, and especially enjoyed having her family all together.
She leaves behind one daughter, Marta (Andy) Query, two Grandsons, Jason (Lisa) and Kyle (Shanna) Query, Grandchildren, Kelsea Mae, Dylan, Brittany, Kylee Jo, Quintin, Tylor, and Caleb, Sisters, Charlotte(Bill) Robinson of Evansville, and Betty (Wyatt) Rauch of Petersburg and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Roddy Boger, daughter, Shawna Clough, her parents, and two brothers, Robert S. Thomas and David M. (Tommy) Thomas.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 26,2018, at 11:30 am at the First United Methodist Church in Petersburg. Pastor Leon Pomeroy will officiating the services. Burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in her memory to the First United Methodist Church of Petersburg or Walnut Hills Cemetery.
