Gertrude Ann (Spray) Glladish

Gertrude Ann Gladish, 87, of Petersburg, passed away February 18, 2018 in Vincennes, IN. She was born in Pike County on June 1, 1930 to William and Helen Spray. She graduated from Petersburg High School in 1948. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the First United Methodist Church of Petersburg where she taught Sunday school for many years. On December 24, 1948 she married her husband Denver Gladish.

Gertrude is survived by her sons, Terry (Sharon) Gladish of Petersburg and David Gladish of North Port, FL; grandchildren, Jason Gladish- Petersburg, Jared Gladish- Booneville, Starla Spalding- Petersburg, and Eric Gladish- Vincennes; 10 great grandchildren and sister Margaret Pirkle of Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Gladish; parents, William and Helen Spray; one great grandchild; sisters, Carmen Bowman and Delores Johnson.

Services will be held on 10 AM EST Friday, February 23, at the First United Methodist Church in Petersburg. Visitation will be held 4-8 Thursday at the Church and 9- 10 AM Friday morning. Pastor Leon Pomeroy will be officiating and burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
