Madge M. (Roundtree) Eskew

Madge M. Eskew, 94, of Petersburg, passed away April 25, 2024, at Lakewood Home in Petersburg. She was born April 9, 1930, to Charles and Sarah (Morehead) Roundtree in West Bend, KY. Madge graduated high school in 1948 and went on to work as a bank teller for many years at Citizens State Bank in Petersburg. She was a faithful member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Petersburg for many years. She loved to cook and her favorite hobby was fishing.

Madge is survived by her daughter, Sue (Greg) Cook; son in law, Val Fleig; grandchildren, Amanda Cook, Nick (Rachel) Cook, Michael Cook, Dan Fleig, John Fleig, and Elizabeth (Nick) Weyer; and 7 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Cook; her second husband, Hugh Eskew; her daughter, Sandy Fleig; granddaughter, Wendy Fleig; and 7 brothers and sisters.

Services for Madge will take place at 1 PM EST on Monday, April 29, 2024, at the 1st United Methodist Church in Petersburg with visitation from 11 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations please be made to PAWS animal shelter of Petersburg. Donations may be mailed to PO Box 63 Petersburg, IN 47567. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
